Erica Xiaoyan Guo, accompanist
Chinese-born pianist Erica Xiaoyan Guo has been praised by San Francisco Classical Voice for her “marvelously flexible touch, the kind of playing that makes you want to hear more…” She performs as a soloist, collaborative pianist, and chamber musician at venues including Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, Nymphenburg Palace, and Musiikkitalo. She made her Schwabacher Recital Series debut in 2022.
Dr. Guo currently serves on the coaching faculty at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and has been on the music staff of the Santa Fe Opera since 2022. Her opera credits also include Minnesota Opera, Atlanta Opera, Utah Opera, and New Orleans Opera Association. She is an alumna of the Merola Opera Program and Aspen Music Festival and School, and holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Maryland.
